Ultrasonic Thickness Measurements (UTM)

In accordance with DNV GL Class Programme “DNVGL-CP-0484", all thickness measurements performed onboard DNV GL ships, where the results are used by the class surveyor to make decisions affecting classification, shall be done by a DNV GL approved service supplier with a valid DNV GL certificate.

As of 1st July 2017 the below Pegasus tool becomes mandatory for all UTM reports for all FIS vessels (1A1, 100A5 and 1A).

Exceptions may be made for the reporting form of thickness measurements in connection with Condition Assessment Programme (CAP) for vessels not classed with DNV GL.
