SE-17 Fish cage analysis
The course introduces the participants to the Sesam programs for a floating fish cage analysis using screen method
Description
The course introduces the participants to the Sesam programs for a floating fish cage analysis. The course will go through the process of structure modelling, analysis execution, and result post-processing for the fish cage and its mooring system. Screen method will be used to calculate the hydro loads on the fish nets in both regular and irregular waves. Sima is the main tool, supported by Riflex.
Learning scope
The following topics will be covered:
- Modelling a fish cage in a visualized Sima interface
- Environmental loading due to wind, waves and current
- Executing static and dynamic analysis
- Post-processing of results
Target group
Structural engineers/naval architects involved in design or verification of a fish cage and its mooring system.
